چکیده

Non-overlapping codes are a set of codewords in $\bigcup _{n \ge 2} \mathbb {Z}_{q}^{n}$ , where notation="LaTeX">$\mathbb {Z}_{q} = \{0,1, {\dots },q-1\}$ such that the prefix each codeword is not suffix any set, including itself; and for variable-length codes, does contain other as subword. In this paper, we investigate generic method to generalize binary notation="LaTeX">$q$ -ary ones notation="LaTeX">$q > 2$ analyze generalization on two constructions given by Levenshtein (also Gilbert; Chee, Kiah, Purkayastha, Wang) Bilotta, respectively. The former construction gives large non-expandable fixed-length non-overlapping whose size can be explicitly determined; latter first attempt generate codes. More importantly, allows us utilize generating function approach cardinality underlying only enables derive new results, e.g., recurrence relations their cardinalities, combinatorial interpretations constructions, superior limit cardinalities some special cases, but also greatly simplifies arguments these results. Furthermore, give an exact formula number words do code subwords. This thereby solves open problem Bilotta induces recursive upper bound maximum

Generating n-Ary Reflected Gray Codes on a Linear Array of Processors

We present a cost-optimal parallel algorithm for generating z-ary reflected Gray codes, i.e. variations of rz elements out of {41,..., n-ll in a Gray code order. It uses a linear anay of m processors, each having constant size memory and each being responsible for producing one part of a given variation. The algorithm is simple and uses a weaker model of computation than a recently published al...

non-corrective approach to pronunciation

the aim of this study has been to find answers for the following questions: 1. what is the effect of immediate correction on students pronunciation errors? 2. what would be the effect of teaching the more rgular patterns of english pronunciation? 3. is there any significant difference between the two methods of dealing with pronuciation errore, i. e., correction and the teaching of the regular ...

Prefixless q-ary Balanced Codes

We will present a Knuth-like method for balancing q-ary codewords, which is characterized by the absence of a prefix that carries the information on the balancing index. Lookup tables for coding and decoding the prefix are avoided. Index Terms Constrained code, balanced code, running digital sum, Knuth code, error correction.

Generating strictly non-self-overlapping structured quadrilateral grids

In this paper, we present a BPM (Bézier Patch Mapping) algorithm which generates a strictly non-self-overlapping structured quadrilateral grid in a given four-sided planar region. Given four pieces of polynomial curves which enclose a simple region in the plane, the algorithm first constructs a Bézier patch which interpolates the four curves (as its four boundary curves), while the inner contro...
